Wacken Open Air Metal Festival 2010 - Bands

Like every year, the little town of Wacken in Germany is going to host the biggest metal fest in Europe, Wacken Open Air. For 3 days, from the 5th until the 7th of August 2010, on the stages of Wacken more than eighty metal bands are going to parade. Thrash metal, progressive metal, heavy metal, power meatal, gothic metal, no matter what kind of metal music you like the most, you 'll find it in Wacken in the summer of 2010.

Iron Maiden, HIM and many others at Pori, Finland - 7/8 August 2010

After a very succesfull 2009 sonisphere festival, finland will be the host of another great event this year. Sonisphere festival returns to Finland for a 2 day event at Pori, with Iron Maiden and HIM leading a very special group of metal bands. The cast this year will be: Iron Maiden, HIM, Heaven & Hell, Mötley Crüe, Alice Cooper, Slayer, Anthrax, The Cult, Iggy & The Stooges.

Iron Maiden, Slayer & Anthrax in Sonisphere Festival - Sweden - 7th August 2010

Sonisphere Festival could not leave Sweden out of this years events. As Sweden is one of the countries with a huge metal audience, Sonisphere Festival brings to the Swedish in Stockholm on the 7th of August 2010 three of the greatest metal bands ever: Iron Maiden, Slayer and Anthrax. The historical Alice Cooper and Iggy Pop with Iggy and the Stooges will be joining the party with Heaven & Hell and Motley Crue for more metal sounds. A very hot summer for Sweden in 2010.

Iron Maiden & Rammstein in Sonisphere Festival - United Kingdom

Sonisphere Festival is visiting the UK from the 30th July until the 1st of August. The place that will host Sonisphere Festival for 2010 is Knebworth House in Hertfordshire, England. Big names of metal and rock scene have been announced for this 3day metal and rock party.

And when you think this can't possibly get any better, there come Stone Sour, Mastodon and Bullet For My Valentine to finish you off. I mean really, what more can you say than: Get a ticket and meet you there!! P.S. Wish Pantera could be in this gig too. It would be thrash paradise ...

Fates Warning in Athens & Thessaloniki (Salonica) Greece - 26 & 27 March 2010

Great news for the fans of Fates Warning in Greece. The pioneers Fates Warning are visiting Salonica on the 26th March 2010 and Athens on the 27th March 2010 for two unforgetable gigs. The band that inspired Dream Theater, Queensryche and other leading progressive metal bands, are visiting Greece with Jim Matheos and Ray Alder, but also with Frank Aresti, their first bass player Joe DiBiase and the legendary drummer Mark Zonder. This will be the first time the all four of them are playing together in 15 years.

Fates Warning - Parallels (deluxe edition) (2010)

The legendary progressive metal group Fates Warning are re - releasing their awesome album Parallels. Paralles was released in 1991 and still is one of the classic albums of progressive metal. The new edition of 2010, which is going to be released in March 2010, is a special edition and Fates Warning are supporting the new Parallels with gigs in Greece, Sweden and Germany.

Amon Amarth - European Tour 2009

Amon Amarth, the melodic death metal band from Sweden, have announced the dates of their European tour for the winter of 2009. Amon Amarh's tour is starting on October the 2nd in Finland (Helnsinki) and will last for almost 7 weeks ending on November 11th in Zurich (Switzerland). Dark Tranquillity christmas tour "Darkness over X-mas"

Dark Tranquillity, Heaven Shall Burn, Deadlock and Swashbuckle will team up for the Darkness over X-mas tour in Central Europe, starting in the christmas day in Leipzig, Germany and ending in new years eve in Stuttgart.

Quoting the band : "We're pleased to announce that instead of spending the yuletide holidays in the usual lazy ways, we'll join up with a gang of other bastards for a short tour called "Darkness Over X-Mas". This will probably be the first time that we'll showcase material from the soon-to-be-recorded new album live."

Iced Earth - Festivals of the Wicked DVD (2009)

In fall (probably September) 2009 Iced Earth will release a new DVD called Festivals of the Wicked. As Jon Schaffer himself said the DVD will contain Iced Earth's shows in Wacken 2007, Rock Hard 2008, Metalcamp 2008 and there will be some behind-the-scenes extra, videos from Framing Armageddon and the Glorious Burden era. "It's something that the fans would not typically see. It's going to have a Ross Halfin photo gallery. Rudy De Doncker from Belgium, who's done a lot of photos of the band through the years — we're going to have his photo gallery there too.
