The first bands that will play at the Rock am Ring and Rock im Park metal festivals have been confirmed. The Killers, Placebo, Slipknot, and Billy Talent for the headling acts, and also Jan Delay & Disko No. 1, Kettcar, Killswitch Engage, Mando Diao, Peter, Björn & John, Peter Fox, Polarkreis 18, Scouting For Girls, The Kilians, The Kooks, The Subways, Tomte, Trivium and Volbeat.
The Rock am Ring (Rock at the Ring) and Rock im Park (Rock in the Park) festivals are together the the largest music festivals in Germany. They are two simultaneous rock music festivals with Rock am Ring taking place at Nürburgring in west Germany and Rock im Park taking place in Nürnberg, in the south east of Germany. They are regarded as a single event, and the bands perform one day at the one festival and one day at the other.
